The club · Established 2015
The Soho Cigar Club was set up following a conversation in Havana in 2015 between Malcolm Mullin from the Soho Whisky Club and Stephan von Schilling, a cigar lover.
The concept was simple: allow someone to enjoy a great cigar, in the right environment and with the right people, and a certain magic ensues. Afternoons do not need long introductory speeches. There does not need to be a sense of formality, other than the respect of fellow club members.
The club takes over the premises of the Soho Whisky Club on selected Sundays. During the afternoon, members drop in to have a drink and smoke their own cigars.
Come for a drink and smoke your own cigar before the tasting, at your own pace.
What the members share is a love of conversation and conviviality.
No long introductions and no formality, just the respect of fellow club members.
The membership is diverse, from Hollywood film producers to a man who embalms dead bodies at a local hospital. The one thing they share in common is a love of conversation and conviviality.
The events are always fully booked, and there is scope for the club to add more events or different activities.
